DUDU QUINTANILHA
Dudu Quintanilha is a Brazilian-Argentinean artist living and working in Berlin. In his projects, Quintanilha proposes experimental processes with performance, video, photography and text to connect ideas and bodies; researching the intersection of arts, care, emotions and ethics. He studied in Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main with Willem de Rooij and Gerard Byrne where he received the Städelschule Sammlung Pohl graduate prize in 2021. In 2024 he received the Günther Peil Stiftung scholarship and in 2022 he received the Dokumentarfotografie Förderpreis 14 Wüstenrot Stiftung. In 2016 he was a resident artist at Q21 MuseumsQuartier and in 2022 he received the Residenzförderung BiP in partnership with Mousonturm and the. His works were exhibited in D’Haus, Düsseldorf; Folkwang Museum, Essen; Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart; PSM, Berlin; Galerie DREI, Cologne; Kunstraum Riehen, Basel; Kunstverein für die Rheinlande und Westfalen, Düsseldorf; Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Mite galería, Buenos Aires; Kanal – Centre Pompidou, Brussels, among other institutions and galleries.
His works are part of Sammlung Pohl, Sammlung Folkwang Museum, Collection del Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Colección Oxenford, Colección del Instituto Torcuato Di Tella among other private collections.
